Made to wait (standing!) for half and hr to an hr even though we made a reservation. The staff knew we were waiting and yet had very poor seating allocation and did not manage the queue. In the end we left without being seated as they were unable to even indicate how long more we had to wait?!?! Unacceptable. Especially in Japan where there are many other good places to eat with way better experiences. Would not recommend.

Very bad experience.We made a reservation for 10pm. Arrived at 9:58. Told the waiters(4 waiters) and still been kept waiting for 30 min. After telling the 5th waiter, we finally had seats.One waiter recommended we order the 8500 yen menu. Then after we had our first 5 barbecues, we were kept waiting for another 20 min for the 6th to come. We complained to 3 more waiters about the long waiting time. Finally we had our rice and soup... wait! No more barbecues!? 8500yen for just 5 barbecues, soup and rice!? Please think twice before booking this restaurant, especially when you can’t speak Japanese.But if you have a lot of time and money to waste, this is a restaurant worth visiting.

Very popular with locals & the staff are very busy, so if you're a foreigner that can't speak or read Japanese, maybe think twice about going - that might account for some of the reviews about service below? Gave it 3 stars because I'm not a big fan of unusual internal organs (hello, pig fallopian tubes). Although on reflection, it might be my own fault for choosing a place whose specialty is innards & ordering a course menu instead of a la carte. Order wisely if you go, folks!

I appreciate that you have to line up for good restaurants in Japan, but when I've made a booking for 9.30 then why am I still waiting to be seated at 10? No acknowledgement from the staff at all, I wasn't even sure they knew I had a booking.

Super delicious. Not only chicken skewers but beef and pork skewers are super yummy. Hard to book you may need help from a Japanese friend. 3yrs 10yrs home made plum wine must try.
